The Problem With Our Schools
We can no longer be an exceptional nation, it’s not allowed.
This has been going on for decades. School textbooks that are outdated, teachers that can do little more than ape the concepts that are in the teacher editions of said text books. Many teachers today (the vocal majority, not all) are more concerned with staying young and partying like they are still in college and really never become experts in the tasks and ideas they are supposed to be teaching. Many of those feel threatened and insecure by students who have a more advanced understanding than they do on subjects.
It does seem to be more about conditioning than education.
Remember, to induce change, a school board position may be one of the easiest way to break the chain, and one of the least difficult political positions to win. Like minded parents need to band together to make this happen.
